The ballast hole is a small gravel pit. It is mainly a small carp water but also contains roach to 2lb, rudd to 1lb, perch to 3lb, tench to 3lb and pike to 10lb. The original carp are all commons and go to about 10lb with the average half that but CAS has recently restocked with F1 hybrid carp as well as almost 1000 small mirror carp. The fishing can be very good at times especially in the winter when the weed has died down.
